Named in memory of Thomas Nottage, in charge of McLaren Vale vineyards and winery for 60 years. Current winemaker Tom Newton aims to keep the full richness of the sun-ripened grapes, while adding complexity. Result - a full-flavoured wine, whose ripe pear and tropical melon characters integrate well with vanilla and butterscotch from subtle oak influence.

His Syrah uses only top-quality fruit from densely planted hillside sites where the vines receive just enough stress to concentrate the flavours. This Rhne-style Syrah is an excellent example of what Chile can achieve. Absolutely stunning accompaniment to game or richly sauced white meats.
